Meet Our Founder
Joseph Vidarte is Vice President and Partner at Saratoga Private Wealth, providing clients with investment management and financial planning guidance tailored to their unique financial goals. As a partner of the firm, Joseph plays an active role in shaping Saratoga Private Wealth’s growth and service model, contributing to the firm’s commitment to thoughtful planning, high-touch guidance, and a consistently elevated client experience.
Joseph brings more than six years of experience from Merrill Lynch, where he supported clients across a wide range of planning needs including portfolio construction, retirement planning, wealth transition strategies, and tax-efficient investment structuring as a senior financial advisor. Known for his disciplined approach and calm communication style, Joseph focuses on helping clients simplify their financial lives while building long-term, strategic plans.
His experience also includes exposure to diverse client segments such as entrepreneurs, corporate professionals, and individuals balancing family wealth planning with career demands. Joseph’s ability to connect on both a technical and personal level has made him a trusted resource for families seeking clarity, organization, and thoughtful guidance.
Before beginning his financial services career, Joseph spent many years in the outdoor industry, where he gained early leadership and teamwork experience. In his younger years, he worked as a raft guide and ski instructor in Jackson, WY, and as a sea-kayaking guide in St. John, developing the calm, focused judgment that now guides his advisory approach.
Joseph earned his Bachelor of Science from Appalachian State University and now lives in Saratoga Springs, NY, with his wife, daughter and son. He is an avid skier, fly fisherman, golfer, and outdoorsman, and he enjoys spending time in nature whenever possible.
